Terms of Service

Effective date: August 29, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of the simtegre.com website and the Simtegre app, operated by BILPP OÜ, a company registered in Tallinn, Estonia. By buying a plan you accept them, so the sections on refunds, fair use and liability are the ones worth reading before you do. Where you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away the rights that the mandatory law of your country of residence gives you.

1. The service

Simtegre sells prepaid, data-only eSIM plans for travellers in more than 200 destinations, delivered as eSIM profiles through our iOS and Android app. Plans carry data only: they do not include a phone number, voice calls or SMS. Each plan’s price, data allowance, coverage and validity period are shown before you buy, and validity starts when the eSIM first connects to a network at the destination, not at the moment you pay. You can browse the site and the catalogue without an account; purchases happen in the app.

2. Device compatibility

Checking that your device supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked before you buy is your responsibility, and it takes about a minute — our setup guides explain how to check and how to install. An eSIM cannot be installed on a device that does not support the technology or that your original carrier has locked, and we have no way to unlock it for you. If your device is compatible and the eSIM still will not install or activate, contact support and we will work through it with you.

3. Payments

All payments are processed by Stripe. Within Stripe you can pay by credit or debit card, Google Pay or Apple Pay; we accept no other payment method, and we never handle or store your full card details ourselves. The price shown at checkout is the total you pay for that plan — there is no separate activation fee, and no subscription: each plan is a one-off purchase that does not renew by itself. If your bank or card issuer adds a currency conversion or foreign transaction charge, that is a matter between you and them.

4. Refunds and your right of withdrawal

If you have not installed the eSIM and it has not used any data, you can ask for a full refund within 15 days of purchase and you do not have to give a reason — deliberately more generous than the 14-day withdrawal right EU consumers have for digital content. Once the eSIM has been installed on a device, or once the plan has consumed data, that refund window closes; the same applies once 15 days have passed, whichever comes first. Installing the eSIM is the moment we begin delivering the digital service, and the purchase flow asks you to confirm that you want delivery to start immediately and that you understand you lose your right of withdrawal for that plan once it does. To request a refund or cancel an unused plan, use the Support screen in the app — the WhatsApp chat, or email support@simtegre.com — with your order details; approved refunds are returned through Stripe to the payment method you used. None of this limits your statutory rights: if a plan is faulty or not as described, you are entitled to a remedy whatever this policy says.

5. Fair use and network conditions

Plans are for your own personal use while travelling, in the destinations each plan covers. They are not for resale, for permanent use as a home connection, or for running servers, bulk traffic or automated systems, and we may suspend a plan that is being used that way. Speed, coverage and availability depend on the local mobile networks we work with and on conditions where you happen to be, so they cannot be guaranteed at all times or in all places. What a network permits — tethering, calls made over apps, particular services — is decided by that network and by local regulation, not by us, and buying a data plan does not change it.

6. Your account, and deleting it

You do not need an account to browse the website or the catalogue; an account exists so that your orders, eSIMs and support history stay in one place in the app. Keep the email address on the account current and your access to it secure, since that is how we identify you for support and refunds. You can delete your account at any time from Account, then Delete account, in the app: the request is confirmed in the app, the account and its personal data are permanently deleted within 30 days, and you can cancel during those 30 days. Our delete-account page describes the process in full, including the records we are legally required to keep and how to request deletion by email if you no longer have the app.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim connected to a plan is limited to the amount you actually paid for that plan. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — missed bookings, lost business, lost data, or the cost of finding connectivity elsewhere — including where it follows from a network being slow, congested, restricted or unavailable at your destination. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for consumer rights that apply regardless of contract.

8. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence, which you keep in full and which may let you bring a claim before the courts where you live. Please talk to us first: most disputes turn out to be a support conversation, and you can reach us on WhatsApp or at support@simtegre.com. If that does not settle it, consumers may also take the matter to the consumer dispute body available to them — the Consumer Disputes Committee in Estonia, or the equivalent authority in your own country.
