Delete your account
Effective date: August 29, 2026
You can delete your Simtegre account, and the personal data attached to it, from inside the app — no email thread, no form, and no approval step on our side. This page explains exactly what that button does, how long deletion takes, what the law requires us to keep, and how to stop the process if you change your mind.
1. How to delete your account in the app
Open the Simtegre app, go to Account, and tap Delete account. The app asks you to confirm, and confirming sends the deletion request; you will see it acknowledged on screen, so there is no doubt about whether it went through. Nothing else is needed from you — you do not have to email us, and we do not ask you for a reason.
2. What happens after you confirm
Your account and the personal data we hold about you — your email address, your order and eSIM history, and your support conversations — are permanently deleted within 30 days of the request. Permanently means erased rather than hidden or deactivated: once the deletion has run we cannot restore the account, and any eSIM still on your device can no longer be supported, topped up or refunded, so use or cancel an unused plan before you delete. The one exception is the records the law requires us to keep, such as invoices and tax documents; those are retained for the statutory period, are not used for anything else in the meantime, and are deleted when that period ends.
3. If you change your mind
The 30 days are a real grace period, not a formality. If you change your mind, open the app before the 30 days are up and cancel the deletion request from the same Account screen — your account, orders and eSIMs carry on as normal. Once the 30 days have passed and the deletion has run, it cannot be undone, and you would have to start again with a new account.
4. If you no longer have the app
If you have lost access to the app or to the device it was on, email support@simtegre.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We use that address to confirm the request really is yours, and we may ask for an order reference if the match is not clear. From the moment we confirm it, the same rule applies: the account and its personal data are permanently deleted within 30 days, apart from the records we are legally required to retain.
